St. Augustin's stands at a
major traffic intersection
within a mile of Bournemouth
town centre - a flagship site.

St. Augustin's is just under a mile from the centre of Bournemouth
St. Augustin's has a truly International congregation

The Church was consecrated in 1892 and was part of the Victorian church building boom in the area.
Commissioned by Canon Henry Twells, it was designed by William Butterfield in the Early Decorated Style
Built of Swanage and Bath stone. It was the last Butterfield church.

There are a number of fine stained glass windows in the church, all erected in the first forty years of its life.

The peace and tranquility of this beautiful building is enjoyed by local people and visitors,
many of whom have expressed delight about it.
Our grounds are an ideal place to sit and spend some time.
We have a new vestry lounge, this has
kitchen and cloakroom facilities
which makes it ideal for use by small groups.

The Millennium Garden in the church grounds
has seats for passers-by to enjoy.
Our excellent facilities are used by many local groups.

The church is floodlit each evening.
